We need your help!
At MCAHS, our mission is to shelter animals while seeking their permanent homes. Although we take in hundreds of animals each year, space constraints sometimes force us to turn animals away. Your support is vital in these moments! We are dedicated to enlisting foster families to increase our ability to care for these animals, with the ultimate objective of matching them with appropriate forever homes. |

Here's how the process works:
The first step is to complete our foster application. That we have a link to at the bottom of the page. Once we receive your application, our foster team will review it and get in touch with you. Following that. Finally, we'll organize a meeting at the shelter to provide you with all the necessary information to be ready to foster and to address any questions you might have.
When there are animals in need of foster homes, we'll reach out to our approved foster families to arrange a time for them to pick up or select their new foster animal.
Foster parents may need to return the animal to the shelter periodically for check-ups and vaccinations while they are fostering, and most importantly, for meet-and-greets with potential adopters.
MCAHS will supply the foster family with all the materials required for fostering (food, bowls, litter, blankets, toys, etc.). MCAHS will also cover all medical treatments for the animal, including medications and vaccinations, while they are in the foster program.
